A beautiful German antique solid silver Art Nouveau basket / bowl. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark, the 800 standard mark and the maker being Wilhelm Binder who was founded in 1869. I would date this piece to c1900. It has superbly made having twisted design swing handle. It is in superb condition being free from dings, splits, holes and repairs. It measures approx. 9 inches (23cm) tall to the top of the handle by 6.5 inches (16.5cm) front to back by 7.25 inches (18.5cm) wide by 3.5 inches (9cm) across the base and is heavy weighing 294 grams. A very good quality beautiful piece.
