A beautiful rare German Hanau solid silver tea caddy canister box. It is hallmarked with German Hanau marks and dates to c1890-1900. It tests as high grade silver. It has been superbly made being embossed with 19th century scenes of a horse draw sled similar to that found on Russian pieces. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cm) across by 1.75 inches (4.6cm) wide by 3.25 inches (8.2cm) tall and weighs 132 grams. A very pretty piece.
