A superb German solid silver combination taper candle holder and matchbox holder. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark and the 800 standard mark. I would date it to c1900-1920. It has been superbly designed and is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (13cm) across by 4 inches (10cm) tall and weighs 100 grams. A very well made example.
