A rare superb quality solid silver vesta match safe case. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1900. It has been beautifully designed being decorated with bamboo to the front and blossom and a bird to the back. The cartouche is free from any engravings. It is in very good condition being free from splits holes and repairs, a single tiny mark to the top corner. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.6cm) tall by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) wide and weighs 24 grams. A super quality example.
