A rare English Edwardian antique solid sterling silver combination vesta case picture / photo frame. It is hallmarked for London 1903 with the makers mark being difficult to decipher. It has been superbly designed and has been engraved '1ST PRIZE SINGING COMPETITION Y.M.C.A. PRESENTED BY HIS WORSHIP THE MAYOR OF LUTON TO DRUMMER ROBERTS APRIL 1915'. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits and repairs - maybe the photo frame should have glass in it? It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.6cm) tall by 1.25 inches (3.4cm) wide and weighs 33 grams. A beautifully designed rare piece.
