A rare very high quality German solid sterling silver novelty Mr Punch jug. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark, the 930 standard mark along with the makers mark of Simon Rosenau. It dates to c1900-1920. It has been superbly made and is in outstanding condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.8cm) tall by over 2.5 inches (6.6cm) across handle to nose by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) wide and weighs 74 grams. A rare high quality piece.
