Beautiful unusual early French Georgian era antique solid sterling silver sugar tongs. They are hallmarked with various marks including the 950 high grade silver mark used between 1819 - 1838, so not long after the Revolution. They have been beautifully designed and are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. They measure approx. 5.5 inches (14cm) long and weigh 42 grams. Superb examples.
