A rare superb quality solid silver pepper pot. It is marked with a Chinese character mark and the makers mark of Hung Chong who operated between c1860 to c1930. It has been superbly designed being in the form of a watering can and decorated with Chinese characters. It is in very good condition being free from splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.8cm) spout to handle by over 1 inch (2.8cm) wide by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) tall and weighs 42 grams. A super quality example.
