A rare hand made Georgian replica English solid sterling silver pounce pot, or flower / sugar caster shaker. It is hallmarked for London 1971 with the makers mark being that of Derby College of Arts. It has been superbly designed being made by being plannished exactly as a piece of the 1700's would have been. It has a loop handle and a lugged lid so it fits tightly. It is in superb condition being free from dings, splits and repairs, the odd faint mark. It measures approx. 4.25 inches (11cm) tall by 2.75 inches (7cm) across the base by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) across the top and weighs 258 grams. A very impressive piece.
