A nice quality French antique solid sterling silver wine taster. It is hallmarked with the French 950 Minerva head mark along with the makers mark, I would date it to c1900. It has been superbly made with the thumb plate being engraved with the initials AJ. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, light marks inside. It measures approx. 4 inches (10.2cm) across including the handle and 3 inches (7.6cm) excluding it by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) tall to the top of the thumb plate and weighs 70 grams. A nice example.
