A beautiful English Victorian antique solid sterling silver table snuff box. It is hallmarked for London 1854 with the maker being Alfred Taylor. It has been superbly designed and internally gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs - slight wear to the engine turned detailing from 171 years use. The hinge is smooth and tight, the inside gilded and clean. It measures approx. 2.75 inches (6.9cm) long by over 1.75 inches (4.7cm) wide by over 0.75 inch (2.2cm) tall and weighs 66 grams. A high quality example.
