A very rare English all solid sterling silver spoon warmer / rest. It is hallmarked for London 1907 with the makers mark being LAG, possible commissioned as I've never seen one before. The basting or serving spoon rests on it and I expect the well around the dish held hot water keeping the spoon warm for future use during the meal. It has been superbly made and has been engraved with a crest used by the Yetsworth family. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, no wear, slight stress line on the curve see final photo. It measure approx. 11 inches (28cm) long by 3.5 inches (9cm) wide by 1.75 inches (4.4cm) to the top of the handle and weigh 274 grams. A super quality super rare piece.
