A beautiful English Edwardian solid sterling silver card case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1908 with the maker being Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd. It has been superbly made being planished and the cartouche has been engraved with entwined initials MHW HMW WHM MWH HWM or WMH . It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (8.4cm) long by almost 2 inches (4.9cm) tall and weighs 38 grams. A superbly designed beautifully clean example.
