High quality English Victorian antique solid sterling silver asparagus, vegetable, or sandwich serving tongs. They are hallmarked for London 1885 with the maker being John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater. They have been engraved with a unusual crest of 'a rock ppr' - used by both the Walkerand Bradwell Families. They are highly sprung and in good working order. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measure approx. 9.25 inches (23.5cm) long by over 1 inch (3.1cm) wide across the grips and they weigh an impressive 160 grams. Super quality examples.
