A superb rare solid sterling silver military chalice. It is hallmarked for 1944 with the maker being Hurst, Franklin & Co Ltd, it also has the date 1944 and military issue arrow symbol. It would have been used by a Chaplain. It has been superbly made and engraved with a cross. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures over 4 inches (10.5cm) tall by over 2.75 inches (7.2cm) across the cup and a little more across the base it weighs 174 grams. A very well made interesting piece.
