A superb rare English solid sterling silver place card or menu holder. It is hallmarked for London 1982 with the makers mark being that of Thomas Charles Jarvis. It has been superbly designed being cast in the form of a brewer / vintner or barman moving a barrel. The menu or place card fits in the foot scraper. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.1cm) tall by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) across the base and weighs 44 grams. An interesting well made seldom seen example.
