A rare English Georgian antique solid sterling silver snuff box. It is hallmarked for London 1802 with the maker being John Allen IV & Joshua Butler I. It has been superbly designed being lightly gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, faint mark to the base edge and corner see final photo. The hinge is smooth and tight,. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cm) across by over 1.5 inches (3.8cm) wide by over 0.5 inch (1.5cm) tall and weighs 52 grams. A very high quality example.
