A lovely quality rare English antique solid sterling silver spoon. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1911 with the maker being Mappin & Webb. It has been superbly made with the bowl depicting Dick Whittington and his cat and the terminal his dog (he is famous for having a cat but was shown with a dog also, on early woodcuts). It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 4.75 inches (12.2cm) long by 1 inch (2.6cm) wide and weighs 18 grams. An interesting well made piece, we've never never seen one before.
