A rare stylish most likely American solid sterling silver and glass cigar cutter. It is hallmarked STERLING SILVER along with the makers mark G.E.W.&Co. I would date this piece to c1920s. It has been superbly designed and works by twisting the silver top (all silver). It is in very good condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The glass is complete and free from chips repairs and cracks, faint marks inside. It measures over 2.5 inches (6.3cm) tall by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) across and weighs 130 grams complete. A very unusually and rare design.
