A very nice quality English solid sterling silver pill or snuff box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1981 with the maker being Peter John Doherty. It has been superbly made and has been engraved inside with the initials CW. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The lid is sprung so automatically opens with the button is pushed. It measures over 1.75 inches (4.6cm) across by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) wide by 0.5 inch (1cm) tall and weighs 48 grams. A superbly designed example.
