A very unusual large heavy American solid sterling silver bookmark or page maker. It is hallmarked for STERLING along with the retailer BRAND-HIER Co. I would date it to c1910. It has been superbly cast in the form of an 18th century gentleman of the Boston Tea Party / Revolution era but I do not know who it is. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits and repairs, there is slight distortion along its length and faint tip scratches see final photo. It measures approx. 6.5 inches (16.5cm) long and weighs 47 grams. A superb piece.
